Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actor best known for portraying detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue in which she won the Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her role in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was born as the sole child from her mom who was a homemaker as well as a an executive in her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with 4 brothers. As a child she was aspired to become a reporter for the court. However, after graduating from high school and relocating into New York in the 1980s then she started modeling. Her first appearance as an actor came as an innocent teenager in the soap opera All My Children. Since then, Delaney has been in a variety of films television movies and dramas. Personally, her professional has not been a success and has not been happy. She is talented and gorgeous, has struggled with addiction to alcohol prior to that. The marriages she has had been unsuccessful two times. In 2005, the actress was denied custody over her only son.
